I have been journaling since I was in elementary school. It wasn’t until I was in the beginning of my professional career that I learned how valuable my journaling has been to my life.
I recommend journaling to everyone because it can be therapeutic to write down your emotions and growth in all aspect of life. Growth in mindset, career, personal life, business, and more. I have been able to look at old journals and see how much I’ve grown and it’s been so enlightening to see.
From writing down a goal I had and then later reading old journals and seeing how far I’ve come. It’s rewarding and enriching.
You can get creative and write down ideas for inventions and projects, and write verses or quotes. There are abundant ways to journal. Write what works for you! There are no rules!
The New York Times shared a study from the American Psychological Association. The study found that writing in a journal can lead to better sleep, a stronger immune system, more self-confidence and a higher I.Q.
Types of Journaling
Below are a few types of ways to journal. These are just a few that I practice or heard of. There is no limit!!

Last week, I hosted a Zoom chat with six others about the power of journaling. It was beautiful to share with others the power of journaling. At the end I conducted a journal giveaway. If you’re looking to buy a journal, check out Unleash Your Truth. She is selling a beautiful self-love journal which has room for you to write affirmations, intentions, to-do list, gratitude, and a daily reflection section.
Make sure to check out the free journal prompt I provided on last week’s post. Click here.
Do you journal? What types of journaling do you practice? Let me know, I’d love to hear from you.
